As 7 p.m. seems to be more appropriate for a bit of culture, we decided to postpone this year’s interviews and emit them at 19:05. Stay tuned!

http://www.deutsche-welle.comAndrzej Greszta, the first Polish winemaker in Germany’s Mesel wine region lost his house, wines and important documents in a fire that struck the town of Krov a few weeks ago. A couple years ago Andrzej Greszta used to earn money picking grapes during the harvest season in the Mosel river valley. Now he’s successfully making his own wines mostly based on the Riesling variety.

Thanks to his Greman friends won’t have to start everything from scrap. His fellow winemakers offered him help in selling the leftover wine, making new wines from this years fruits and offered a space to store freshly filled bottles.

Kröver Steffensberg riesling spätlese trocken 2006
Slate and mineral nose. Subdued and “slim” feeling. Also slim and dry riesling in the mouth. Medium concentration. Mineral approach with fine hints of slate. Pure and elegant style. Fine acidity and length. Good balance. Good dry riesling.

Kröver Steffensberg riesling spätlese feinherb 2006
This shows also slate and minerals on the nose. But also a light touch of flowers and earth. It is typical feinherb-style in the mouth with just a touch of sweetness. Mineral approach with a touch of flowers and earth. Fine acidity and great balance. Very good feinherb indeed. Great effort.

Kröver Steffensberg riesling auslese 2006
This shows more botrytis and apricot on the nose. It is a sweet and fullbodied auslese in the mouth. Rich with some fat. Sweet botrytised fruit. Hints of raisins. A bit simpler than the drier wines. Round style with decent acids in the finish. Good, but not as interesting.

They are fascinated by the past, but look into the future as well. Maja Kokot and Paulina Szczepańska are the two women who have brought the vintage style of fashion to Poland. They did it by simply starting out with their own store on the Internet. Clothes there are sometimes even 40 years old and currently for women only. Check out why – in the interview with Paulina Szczepańska. By Przemek Pozowski

It seems that there are few things left to be researched as scientists have begun to investigate… happiness. What makes us happy? The eternal question has as many answers as there are people in this world. What have they come up with? Some ideas which seem instinctively obvious for most of us. But come on, if it has been scrutinised it must be true. And serious. Listen and find out for yourself. By Viola Lamot

Aristotle, Nietzsche, Picasso, Chaplin, Hendrix and many more of the left-handed have their international day today. Luckily, we do not live back in the 18th century, when the left-handers were stigmatised for their natural “dexterity”. If you wish to learn about the causes of this cultural pressure and how many people in the world prefer to reach for their coffee mug with their left hand, or what you can buy in the shop for the left-thanded, listen to Viola Lamot.

Matt Killingsworth, a researcher at Harvard, has created an iPhone application at www.trackyourhappiness.org. Your cell phone surveys you several times a day on your level of happiness and tracks trends, then reports back to you on what makes you happy! Really cool and makes you feel spoiled – they ask you “So how do you feel right now?” several times a day. By Viola Lamot

OK, let’s talk about the most important thing of them all, that is – you. Yes, it is holiday season and you have plenty of time on your hands to spoil yourself, so why not do it online? Learning how fascinating you really are. I bet you fancy that, so you will also enjoy doing the online psychotests. Just google their names and… don’t get scared with the results, they are just tests anyway, right? By Viola Lamot
