The “Sami Swoi” town of Lubomierz in Lower Silesia boasts the best comedy festival in Poland. Filmmakers have always liked it – a few Polish films have been shot here and it is even dubbed “Polish Hollywood”. The Festival of Polish Comedies gathers crowds of people ever ready for a good laugh. Not for superstitious viewers this year, though. It’s the 13th edition of the event, it starts at 13.13 on the 13th of August – so what? It’s bound to be the best comedy festival ever, the organizers say.
