- The place to be tomorrow between 3p.m. and 8p.m. is Magnolia Park in Wroclaw as a very important event named ”Stop to the Drunk Drivers” will promote safe driving by giving you free lessons of first aid, a chance of experiencing driving in special alcogooggles to understand how dangerous it is to drive with a slightly impaired ability of perception and also will be a meeting point of all of you who wish to donate blood. 

- As we are now entering the 8th day of the Era New Horizons Festival if you are lucky enough to get a ticket tonight you will be given an unforgettable chance of listening to some original tunes brought to you straight form Ikea countryhome. The “I m from Barcelona” band which is actually definitely from the country of moose, Ikea and H&Mclothing company (and not from Barcelona despite its misleading name) will have their concert at the Arsenal Stage at 10 p.m. and later on if you still need some more Swedish music “The Field” music band will play for you at the same place at midnight sharp.

- To lough and learn at the same time on Saturday next to the Centennial Hall you will be able to see the funniest parts of the Polish Film Chronicle, the admission is free of charge and above that if you keep your fingers crossed tightly you might get a special prize connected with the ”Europe it’s our history” exhibition which closes soon.  The show will be on from 9p.m. till 10.30 p.m.

- And if you love horses but even more you love betting on them Sunday will be a treat for all of you who are keen on horse races. Partynice in Wroclaw will witness a great come back of the beautiful arab horses fighting head to head over 1700 metres distance. The race begins at 12.00 so open your wallets and dream on if you wish to risk betting on any of the beautiful creatures.

- To see some proper exhibition in Polish and English The Foundation of Fine Art Students has prepared an exhibition on the Four Monasteries District featuring some historic presentations, photograpies and visualisations of the District. To see all that and even more go to Promenada Staromiejska between the John Paul II square and Krupnicza street.

- Need more lessons on what women want? Which obviously is an eternal question nobody seems to be able to answer, tonight is your one and only chance to become smarter by watching Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt trying to answer this question for you in the film entitled “What do Women Want”. The show is going to be free of any charge so don’t waste your chance and go to Magnolia Park tonight at a quarter to nine.

- If you live near Ruska Street just count to 46 A on Friday and go to “Dymek z Papierosa” club -  a “Cigarette Puff” club to listen to some metal tunes influenced by gothic, doom and folk music – quite a combination offered by “Die Anew” band which is new to the Wroclaw club scene but definitely worth checking out.

- And if you are still a student you may use your student’s badge tonight to enter Oławska 9 club at Oławska 9 street to be entertained by Dj Galix mixing the best hits of RnB, Hip Hop Dancehall, pop funky and some old school  black music.

- For some Saturday night fever go to the same place or just stay there till Saturday when Dj Shortee, Dj GaliX. Dj tee and Dj Waveshock – all with very promising names will  serve you an audio cocktail at the same place that is Oławska 9 club at – Oławska 9 street.

- If you have small chances of having holidays on a hot Beach and you can’t stand your friends telling you about wonderful holidays they have just had the Hip Hop Beach Party is the place for you  on the first of August at the sunny Beach situated in Kiełczow, the party starts at 5 p.m. and will feature some of the brightest stars of hip hop scene such as Crew, Wice Wersa, Królik, Jot, Motyw Squad to name just a few. So go there and enjoy yourself for 9 zlotys only.

- Tomorrow starts the 15th edition of Przystanek Woodstock one of the most famous Polish music festivals organized by Jurek Owsiak the founding  father of WOSP charity event. It is going to continue throughought the weekend and apart from many musicians from Poland and abroad you will have a chance to meet with our former president Mr Lech Wałęsa, and our fomer prime minister MrTadeusz Mazowiecki who will join the discussion point at the academy of the most beautiful arts hosted by Piotr Najsztub.

Exclusive for RadioWroclove.com, Roman Gutek, Director of ERA New Horizons International Film Festival, tells our reporter Paweł Kempa whether he had time to watch movies this week and about the chance that Pedro Almodovar might come to Wrocław.

- We have learned from our unofficial sources that this Sunday the fountain at Pergola will feature a brand new program inspired by the EURO 2012 Football Cup to celebrate the visit of our special guest: Mr Michel Platini the President of the UEFA who will probably see the new fountain show in person.

- Today is the second day of Era New Horizons  International Film Festival – the only festival of such kind in Europe. And today among other foreign films you will be able to see various films by Krzysztof Zanussi including: ”Illumination”, „The Balance” and some of his early television and amateur student films and also a series of short films by Piotr Dumała. There are also many films and film workshops for children – around the Puppet Theatre and meetings with the artists everyday at 4p.m. at the same place.

- This year’s edition of Era New Horizons will help you if you have no one to leave your children with. “A fairytale Travel Agency” at Kiełbaśnicza street is ready to take over your parenting duties for the time of the screenings and concerts. But remember to pick the children  back afterwards!  

- And if after browSing through the program of Era New Horizons Festival you will still feell that you need some more adrenaline to catch and you will crave for some realy strong emotions  the ”Adrenaline Night” will cater for that need with three nerve wracking films such as ”Transporter 3”, ”The Next” and ”Adrenaline 2” that will be screened at Multikino at Pasaż Grunwaldzki at 10 p.m tonight.

- The IT company called Acer is going to move its service and logistic centres from France and England to Wrocław and some 300 hundred engineers and technicians might be offered  a job there, that is at Prologis Park at Graniczna – so if you feel qualified enough you might try sending them your offer as the distribution Centre is to be opened in October this year.

- And if you are into a bit or even more than a bit of self destruction you might as well go to Liverpool club tonight for some hard rock and modern metal at a Self Destruction Party which starts at 8p,m, with free admission.

- After all the films, concerts and parties which you might experience tonight and tomorrow it might be a good idea to go to the Słowacki Park in Wrocław and practise some yoga with the Silver Bisferis Foundation which organizes the action: Yoga in a Park around 7 cities in Poland on Sunday in the morning.

- And for some really good old style art tonight at 6 p.m in the BB Art Galery in Jatki there will be a grand opening of the exhibiton of Glass art made by the Borowski Family. The grand opening will be attended by Victoria Ashe a former USA Ambasador in Poland.

- Castle Party in Bolków is running till Sunday with over 30  different bands from Poland and  abroad presenting various styles of music from dynamic electronic through gothic to lirical tunes. Something for everyone on stage as well as in the Old Cinema and Hacjenda club in Bolków till Sunday.

- Wroclaw Rynek that is the Market Square is now full of pictures from the best or famous Polish films from the last century which were the inspiration for generations of other film makers.

- And for some more good art  go to the “No Name” club which is going to show the works of art of the young artists from the Academy of Fine arts in Wroclaw – from paintings to sculpture and photography, this Sunday at 4 p.m.

- Or go to the Wro Art Centre that is the Centrum Sztuki WRO which is now running an unusal exhibition of  Zbigniew Rybczyński’s works of art – and if his name does not ring a bell to you – this is our first Polish film artist who was awarded the Oscar Academy Award. This exhibition is a part of Era New Horizons Film Festival so it means that you can visit the Wro Art. Centre till 2 of August.

The opening film of the festival, the White Ribbon, this year’s winner Cannes festival, directed by Michael Haneke, and Thailand movie Nymph by Nang mai was screened yesterday at 7 p.m. Exclusive for RadioWroclove.com just after opening, Roman Gutek the Festival Director recommends 5 movies especially worth to see during the Festival.
