- Today starts the OFF Festival –  one of the most important alternative music festival organized by Artur Rojek. The concert is going to be held for the 4th time in Mysłowice and this year’s special guest is to be Jonathan Poneman, the manager of the legendary  Sub Pop record company from Seattle, the editor of such music bands as Nirvana, Mudhoney, Soundgarden or recently Fleet Foxes.

- Tomorrow starts the oldest International Festival of Fryderyk Chopin music which will be held for the 64th time  in Duszniki Zdrój.It is going to be exeptional for a few reasons – first and foremost  – this year we celebrate the 160 anniversary of the great composer’s death, and for the first time in Duszniki we will be able to listen to Mozart’s “Requiem” – Chopin liked this piece so much that he wished it to be played during his funeral Cremony. Unfortunately the ticket to listen to such fames as Oleg Maisenberg, Cyprien Katsaris, Jue Wang, Nikolai Lugansky  Together with Orkiestra Wratislavia, Polish Chamber CHoir and  Prima Vista Quartet amounts to the exorbitant price of 625 zlotys however, this price seems not scare away many of the classical music lovers – so if you are one of them – hurry up to grab a ticket. The concerts will be on till 15 of August.

- And if you use your left hand more often than your right one be aware that the international day of the left-handed is coming soon! Actually it is going  to be on the 13 of August. But sooner than that – that is on the 8 of August you will be able to prove how skillful, you are to use your left hand during the special event organized at Arkady Wrocławskie between 12 and 5 pm, the entrance is free – all you need to do is take your left hand with you.

 - If you wish to take part in the fourth International Integration Kayak Trip take your kayak to Rędzińska street at Maślice on Monday at the Mouth of Ślęza. If you have your own kayak you will need to pay 130 zlotys admission fee and if you don’t own one – 200 zlotys. And you’d better start paddling practise now as the distance to cover is 131 km, fortunately in 6 stages.
